Stress is Pale...
By Haey Krone
Genre: Poetry Level: Elementary 4-6
Year: 2002 Category: Margaret Mielke Memorial Poetry Award

Stress is pale
Like sweat running down your
face.
It's the sound of thumping
underfoot and in your head.
Stress swims through your body
in waves of endless pain.
When it finds your heart-
it attacks.
