Snowflakes
By Kala Pearce
Genre: Poetry Level: Elementary K-3
Year: 2004 Category: Bell Benton Memorial Poetry Award

Snowflakes are ballerinas
dancing in the sky.
They twist, twirl, and leap
gracefully.
They are lovely lace
falling from above.
They fall gently, lightly,
They spin and sway,
Their delicate beauty comes in
different shapes and sizes.
Dance, snowflakes, dance!
